Soul Food

During the weekend of Friday, October 20th – Sunday, 22nd October, our Parish’s Harvest Weekend will take a different form this year.

The ‘Soul Food’ weekend will begin with a ‘Friday Night Takeaway’ event on the 20th at 7.30pm in the Crozier Hall.  This will be a fun filled event featuring music, variety acts, games involving the audience, an epilogue and the delivery of a takeaway from a local chip shop!  Tickets will be on sale for this event from the Parish Office (44 Victoria St / 37523197)

During the morning of Saturday 21st, a Breakfast will take place in the Crozier Hall from 8.30am – 10am featuring our speaker for the weekend, Rev’d James Boyd, Vicar of Willowfield Parish, Belfast.  Games will be arranged for children if they wish to avail of them during James’ presentation.

Also during the Saturday, invitational events will be held in the homes of parishioner and outreach activities are being planned for the City Centre.

On Sunday 22nd, the services will take place at the usual times and will again feature our guest speaker, Rev’d James Boyd.  The 10.30am Service will be a Family Harvest Service.  At 7pm we will have a ‘Soul Food’ celebration service featuring Nathan Cruise and his worship band, as well as interviews with invited local people about their faith.

Everyone will be most welcome to join us for what will be a most inspiring weekend of thanksgiving and testimony of faith.
